Mexico has the highest number of people with the surname Siller, with 13k bearers. I doubt he (or his dad) has any recent German ancestry, don't rely too much on Wikipedia.

You are probably right. I read it on ethnicelebs.com. I also doubt that they are very accurate.

Yeah, they listed their source as being Wikipedia, where people are often inaccurately listed as having a certain ethnicity based on only the origin their surnames.

As for a classification, I agree with Nordomed.

his other last name is Margain which is of French origin and majority found in Mexico, there was French immigrants in his city of Tampico, also Creoles but they were of 100% French origin and not the mix ones (back then French borns in Louisiana were called Creoles)

And his maternal surname (Margain) isn't Spanish either.

But just like Siller, the highest prevalence (and density) of people with the surname Margain are Mexican.

Do you think it's possible that he has some Amerindian?

His last name Siller has been in Mexico for around 150-175 years. So it's very likely he has Amerindian in him.

I can usually tell how long a non Iberian last name has been in Mexico by looking at the amount of people with that last name in Mexico.
13,008 Sillers in Mexico.

His moms last name Margain arrived like 150 years ago
4,632 Margains in Mexico.
