I'm not sure what you mean by his/her y-dna and mtdna. I'm surprised by his result. Indonesians are supposed to the mix of Austronesian and Austro-Asiatic. He/she gets the small amount of Chinese. Austronesians derive the large amount of Chinese.

He seems to have substantial South Asian admixture. Do you have his gedmatch results?

Yeah you're right and they need to create a separate type of Han vs Austronesian vs Japonic vs Siberian category etc in their next update. Well with 200 populations reportedly to be incorporated into their next update they might very well do that. Can't wait! :)

...Those are his paternal/maternal ethnicities, I don't mean haplogroups.

No sorry I don't have his kit-# nor any Indonesian or even Cambodian kit-#s at my disposal at this time, wish I did though.

I wonder if that high of a South Asian percentage is consistent with his paternal and maternal ethnic regions and the history over there

Can you ask him for his kit if you know him?

I wonder if the "South Asian" is actually Indian ancestry or just ASI/ASI-like affinity?

I lost track of his account on Twitter. He initially tweeted his MH results but seems to have deleted that post for some reason...now I can't even found his original twitter account page :(
