Their East to West Med ratio on Eurogenes K15 is almost identical to that of Sicilians, but they have a much higher Red Sea component, which would be even higher if the SSA went away.

Without the SSA, their West Med would surpass that of all Southern Europeans except for Sardinians, and their East Med would be higher proportionally too.

So if you removed the SSA, who would they be close to?

They'd be Middle Eastern-like, with Neolithic Farmer-like (which comes with a lot of WHG) admix on the side. Then again, their unique North African genes that came with E-M81 to North Africa separated from the Levant a long time ago (thousands of years), so it's more appropriate to say that they would look like themselves, not other people.

Btw it's been known for a while that a good part of the SSA that they get in those calculators is Basal Eurasian, so they aren't really 20% SSA. I'd explain it but a short discussion is already on Anthrogenica on it so I'll just redirect you to it:
