So the results are obviously not Irish. The person has high East Med as well so that's a clue.

I've found these results on FTDNA. This guy is half British/Scottish/Celt/German (Prussia), half Southern Italian. Of course, being he is American he doesn't know exactly his whole ancestry, but he is not half Irish, half Ashkenazi.

I thought about NW+ Ashkenazi but didn't looked right on the pca (i guess only possible with Icelandic). If he s more straight up northern/central europe + S.Italian it makes more sense :

Exactly, it would need at least to swap the east med for west med. It's not the first time that I see Americans of mixed ancestry join in the Italian cluster with the components unbalanced.
