Tsai surname is very common in her hometown Fujian province,China(Most of the Taiwan Han residents's ancestors were came from this province).The Y haplogroup of Tsai surname family there is O-MF31434,it belongs to O1b-F2320，this haplogroup is common in the southeastern coastal regions of China as well as in the Austroasiatic, Austronesian, Miao-Yao, and Austronesian languages,so Tsai families's ancestor should be the native resident in Southern China,but they accepted Han culture and Han identity later.
