Tbh, I didn't know this until today. If you asked a New Zealander, they'd more likely think and say Silver Fern https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyathea_dealbata
Some in the North Island might think of the Pohutukawa. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metrosideros_excelsa

Bit of a crap shoot really.

I think of the English Rose myself.

Correction: oops! The national flower of Scotland is actually a thistle, rather than a bluebell... but a bluebell can still be considered as a floral symbol for Scotland. The red Tudor Rose applies as a national symbol to England, daffodils for Wales, and shamrock is an official symbol for Éire that people display a lot on St. Patrick's day.

Each of the four countries of the United Kingdom has a traditional floral emblem.

England - officially the Tudor rose or unofficially the red rose and English Oak.
Northern Ireland – the flax, orange lily, or shamrock
Scotland – the Scotch thistle, Scottish bluebell (harebell) or heather
Wales - the daffodil, leek or sessile oak
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floral_emblem

I always associate Scotland with bluebells though, (one of my favourite flowers in England too, as I loved picking and collecting blueish-lilac coloured bluebells, white-coloured bluebells, and soft pink-coloured bluebells on my way to school as a child. My mum would tell me not to pick the bluebells, but I couldn't resist collecting some on my way to school in Kent. I'd also see large fields full of bluebells when I lived in Hampshire for a while too.... I love bluebells.)

I wonder if the national flower of The Netherlands are tulips by any chance? (Because I always associate Amsterdam with colourful tulips!) I love the elegant long stems on tulips and find them uplifting and happy flowers, like daffodils makes me smile too.

No flower for Normandy, this is way too sentimental. We are baddass, we have leopards :

http://france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/normandie/sites/regions_france3/files/styles/asset_list_medium/public/assets/images/2014/11/26/drapeau_deux_leopards.jpg?itok=0XDUL_B_

When Normandy was cut in two half by french governement, until 2016, the lower had for emblem this which is a piece of drakkar meaning "we lack our other part which is Upper Normandy" :

http://idata.over-blog.com/3/21/27/08/Logo_region_basse_normandie.png

While Upper Normandy had this one which is one leopard (the other one is absent to represent the lower Normandy separated) and I guess the water represents our Seine river or the sea.

http://idata.over-blog.com/3/21/27/08//logo_region_web.jpg

Nowadays we also have non official flags we recognize though like the Saint-Olaf flag of Normandy (for me the best is the combined original flag with this one) or also that drakkar with the N of Normandy which is the separatist movement emblem.

So let's cultivate Polish-Albanian friendship!!!

Corn Poppy (Papaver Rhoeas) or Red Poppy, a flower with vivid red four petals, most commonly with a black spot at their base. is the national flower of Poland. It is a variable annual plant in the northern hemisphere and generally flowers in late spring. During and after World War I, fields that had been disturbed by battle bloomed with Corn Poppies, and the flower has become a symbol of that war.

The Carnation

Spain[edit]

The national flower of Spain is the carnation (clavel).
Spain – Carnation
The national flower of Spain is considered to be the carnation (Spanish: clavel). Essentially it is associated with Spanish folklore, especially in southern Spain, or Andalusia.

In Spain and Hispanic America it symbolises passion, and it is a very common gesture to hold the clavel between one's teeth. In the Spanish language of flowers represents caprice, passion and desire.

We call thistle flower --Scotland national flower-- "cardo borriquero". You can find plenty of them down here. Apart from beautiful, its core or heart --once peeled-- is eatable and delicious. A good source of food when one is wandering in a experience of survival.

Also eatable are the hearts of cores of palmito --mediterranean small palm--, whose hearts are bigger and tasting excellent.

Flower of Jamaica

http://elfanzine.tv/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/marihuana-2.jpg

(Actually that plant is used by a lot of people internationally in cannabis tea, smoked, or vaped, etc, and I think it's legalised in The Netherlands, (although I've never been a fan of it myself.) It has alleged medicinal properties and some people prefer to have 'medical marijuana' prescribed to them by doctors, instead of being prescribed with the more addictive and stronger opiate prescription painkillers.)

I remember there used to be some cafes in London's popular Camden Town area where people could request cannabis tea and try cannabis cake, (not sure if those places are still there,) and people can buy cannabis-flavoured lollipops which are on public display in stores and markets there too.

Goldfinches love eating thistle seeds, and so having some thistles planted in a back garden is a good way to naturally attract these beautiful birds to peoples gardens, or/and also hanging-up very small and fine black nyjer seeds (which are actually native to Ethiopia) in specialist goldfinch feeders which goldfinches go crazy over and squabble a lot over it as it's their favourite seeds. (I had a whole charm of over 22 juvenile goldfinches visiting and eating the oil-rich nyjer seeds that I hung out in lots of feeders for them last summer which are very nutritious for them too according to ornithologists,) and goldfinches and other birds also love eating sunflower hearts.

We don't have a national flower. But we have regional flowers. In my region it's the king Karl's spire (Pedicularis sceptrum-carolinum).

There's some interesting varieties of lilies too... I think they're very serene-looking flowers. I also love cherry blossom, wisteria, bonsai trees, tiger-lilies, orchids... there's just loads of interesting varieties of flowers and plants, and many have medicinal properties too. We have the Columbia Rd Flower Market in East London and I've found edible flowers being shown in some of the flower markets in London too.

White lilies are often seen at funerals as a symbol of peace.

Although not official, the azahar (Sp.) (orange blossom) could be considered as the flower of Valencia (Eastern Spain) due to the abundance of orange trees in that region, also in Andalusia, putting off a charactistical pleasant smell on the air while florishing...

Very typical flowers in our patios --at least in southern Spain--, and among others, are the dama de noche (lady or queen of the night) and the jazmín (jasmine), offering during the warm nights down here --when people are at those patios taking advantage of the fresh-- a delighful fragance on the air. Both of them are, I believe, the first fragance I can remember from childness, aside from the orange blossom -- along with the lemon tree, the orange tree and other fruit trees are also present in the andalusian patios, besides of any kind of flowers (roses, carnations etc...):

Just an example of patio andaluz. It exists so many different types of patios as householders, varying according of the taste of the owners. Usually private, there are also public or open to public, used as dinner patios or simply to have a snack during those warm nights in the summertime.

Our typical flower in Christmass time is the pascuero (poinsettia) or flores de Pascua. It adorns every place --public or private-- during Christmas time. It florished and reaches its zenith during that time, in Winter time too...

The plant can become very large and high when seeded (very easy to do by the way, by using even a small branch of it, but in a concrete time of the year):
