Waist to hip ratio is considered a master indicator of genetic fitness.

Bad ratio : above 0.75

Okay ratio: 0.70-0.75

Great ratio: 0.63-0.69

Divine ratio: 0.63 and under


Note that waist circumference, not hip circumference is what drags down this ratio. Wider hips does not always mean better.

Same goes for males. The taller a male becomes, the narrower his shoulders are relative to his height.
