Are you serious? He doesn't even look European. Wogs may be swarthy, but give them some credit ;)

The coloured fellow appears to me to be Egyptian or some other form of Eastern Mediterranean; chiefly, the reasoning I would give is his mesocephalic skull shape and broad eyes.

The other would appear to have a stronger Nordic influence but the meatiness of his features suggests heavy admixture of a Pre-Cambrian survival if this is the case. However, he also bears the traits of a long-faced Mediterranean, so it's difficult to say.

If I had to choose which were Italian, I would favour the coloured fellow because of his clearly Eastern Mediterranean features.

Well one is tempted to say Egyptian, actually. But one must remember that Arabs are racially Mediterranean, at least in the Coon system (which is the system in which I operate; I'm not a big fan of Grant or the others).

Gracile mediterranids and Eastmeds proliferate in some parts of the Mideast, and are often mistaken as being a "mideastern" look.

If he is Egyptian or Egytian-looking, that would probably be South Cromagnid.

Even with the heavy influence of the Arabs and other Mesopotamians on the Egyptian population? When I say "Egyptian" I don't mean the Fellaheen.

Curtis24

Certainly Arabid/Mediterranid influence would effect some segments of the population. Yet, going by other examples, as well as genetic evidence, invasions tend not to effect populations as much as we think. Course there are exceptions, such as England, but generally genetics supports the idea that the first people to begin farm-producing in a region will make up the principal population in that area. The fellaheen are stil the majority in Egypt...

I guess I'll say he's gracilemed/eastmed.

If he looks like an Arab, it's because Arabid dominates his phenotype.

Curtis24
11-10-2010, 07:12 AM
Yeah, but when people say "Arab", what ethnicity are they talking about? Syria, Egypt, etc.? Arabids are going to be mostly in Saudi Arabia or Iraq to a lesser extent. The other countries retained their pre-Arab phenotypes mostly despite Arab invasions and cultural domination.

I'm not that familiar with brown people's phenotypes, but he does look kind of similar to this Egyptian guy I see in the Hebrew class that's before one of my classes. Either way, I associate both "East Med" and "Gracile Med" with European people and as European phenotypes, and when a person clearly doesn't look European, I don't see how he can be classified as such. I would say he's Arabid+some kind of CM

Indeed when we say "Arab" to classify a person we are not correct. At most we can say "semitic" to use a generic classification, but Arabids are only the ones of the Arabic Peninsula, Yemen, Oman, Arabia. etc.etc.
Egytpians make a cluster, Iranians can absolutely not be classified as Arabids, as well as Turkish. And Northern Africans are saharids/Berbers, not Arabs.

Have you read Coon? Mediterranean is most certainly a racial type, and Arabs are most certainly Mediterranean as a whole, though there is variance between Syriac, Egyptian, &c. I use "arab" as a useful blanket terminology, but for the sake of precision I'll drop it.

Also, in response to the "who is Italian?" comment, I think the white fellow was so easy to classify that we all sort of concentrated on the basis of argument, the classification of the coloured fellow. Also, it's not entirely inaccurate to assume that a specimen displaying blondism does not belong to Italy. That is not to say that Italians cannot display blondism, but the majority of Italians certainly do not fall into even a predominant, far less a pure, Nordic type.

Not really. The most weird european I've seen is this norwegian, Hanne Stine Nabintu Herland :

Have you read Coon? Mediterranean is most certainly a racial type, and Arabs are most certainly Mediterranean as a whole, though there is variance between Syriac, Egyptian, &c. I use "arab" as a useful blanket terminology, but for the sake of precision I'll drop it.
I don't give a fuck about Coon, he was a clueless idiot with an agenda. First, there is not a mediterranean type. A greek is not the same as a spaniards, and they are both in mediterranean countries. Second, "Arabs" are not even mediterranean nor europids like southern europeans, they are mostly arabids/semitic.

Wait, wait, wait. Being blonde doesn't necessarily mean being Nordic.

I will not give any response or credence to such primitive and unthinking vulgarity.

For others who may have similar misconceptions to Iberia, "blondism" does not mean "blonde hair", but describes general regressive traits such as lighter skin, lighter eyes, lighter hair, and, in some cases, thinner features. When I say "blondism" I do not mean the primitive, childish understanding of "blonde hair" = "Nordic/Aryan", but rather in a broader, more informed sense of "blondism". I hope this clarifies my usage somewhat.

No sir. Blondism is simply fair-hair. It comes from the french blund meaning "a colour midway between golden and light chestnut". It has nothing to do with being nordic.

^^Lol....Because she feels a partial connection that's maybe why.

Abruzzo was first occupied and governed by Longobards and then by Franks (and later by Sveves and Angioines). More or less if you go in the mainland on the mountains they still have that mentality. We only have monasteres and castles, monasteres and castles.
Longobards built castles and Franks monasteres.

Not only, the capital city of my region, L'Aquila, was founded by Federico II of Svevia. I don't care what they other may think: historically my region HAD strong feudalism due to the long germanic domination. So yes, I feel pretty related with them, at least historically. ^^

@Megrez: the right order is ITALICS-ROMANS-LONGOBARDS- FRANKS-SVEVES - ANGIOINES- ARAGONESES- BORBONS. But while Angioines and Aragoneses together dominated it for 200 years in total, Longobards and Sveves for 1000 years and even something more. ^^ + some raids made by Venecians.

Then your dream is to pretend to look German+Slavic (nice people both im agree), I think that the Italians seem Italian and never see me saying that the Spanish seem anything other than ancient Celtic Iberians.

I have to make a precisation though I agree with Iberia that it is time to end up. Anyway I think and repeat that while Spaniards, as YOU said, are more omogeneous and therefore they probably have also a common look, in Italy this does not happen. We never speak of "Italian beauty", buy of "Sicilian beauty", "Tuscan Beauty", "Apulian beauty", "Venetian beauty", "Roman beauty"... Indeed a Tuscan does not look like a Sicilian, an Apulian doesn't look like a Roman. We have a common element in Italy, the Italic substratus, but this susbtratus is interrupted in Northern Italy where most people descend from Celts and in Southern Italy where most people descend from Greeks and in some parts from Illirians. Then every region has got its peculiarities.
Apulians, for istance, are considered as descending mostly from Illirians and are classified as an Illirian population. Indeed, though they are from Southern Italy, they are not as dark as Calabrians or Sicilians.
I have not said that we look slavic or germanic. We simply look more eastern than Spaniards, though in some regions like Tuscany the difference is lower.
The East Coast of Italy (Adriatic Italy) for me is like a bridge between Western and Eastern Europe. I live on the Adriatic and you can find western looking people and also some eastern looking people. Most appear like a mix.

For istance this is an actress from Abruzzo (Deborah Malatesta):

And any of us showing pride and high self-esteem levels about what we are, with no need to compare with others (why?ż!? we have no equal :)) causes an instant reaction in these less fortunated with their caste/self-esteem.

Eventually they, after confrontation with the proud ones -usually spaniards- use to show their deeper conflicts by the mechanism of projection in forms like this (recurrent) "you spaniards want to be like irish"(SIC. -yes, sic.) a paradigm of a projection, by the senseless of the statement (Spaniards have proven an arrogant self-esteem to be impossible to desire to be someone else) and by the essence of the phrase, the projection in it: "I wanna be like -someone I am not-" derived from the emitter.

Understand me that I value as fair and justified to take some kind of profit or payment, like in an experimental-game way, from some people that, despite have deep conflicts (and in consequence, I should respect and feel pity for, as a caballero), recurrently attack my nation and people just because we don't have their self-esteem problems, but a higher one. "Virtud envidiada es dos veces virtud."

I justify that in some moments I like to push some buttons... and enjoy that my expectations are highly correlated with responses.

Really?
Once i started to read those posts i already know the end and the sense() everytime before i finished.
I probably would find the "The Battleship Potemkin" more interesting.

Now i wait for another two hours reasoned dissertation over the link between my boredom in reading, and our low self esteeme, the kinights and cast, and that shit that i'm reading in every post.

That's a simple explanation in all the things that are happening here. :)

These my conclusions from my two volunteers' behaviours:

Research being conducted at the University of Florida shows that cockroaches leave chemical trails in their feces. Other cockroaches will follow these trails to discover sources of food and water, and also discover where other cockroaches are hiding.
Another study tested the hypothesis that cockroaches use just two pieces of information to decide where to go under those conditions: how dark it is and how many of their friends are there.

Nothing for an scholar like interesting experimental volunteers.

Results are still at work by mine scientists, but by a first analisys we can safely say that with all that shit and farts we are dealing with a rare form of coprophaghy, also disguised by the subject as fine art and something entertaining, caused by a non temporary shame by the subject for the personal situation.

Here is a study for prevention, but we can avoid the cure of the subject DinDonDan for an evident too long coprophagy which gave its brain damages.

Prevention of Coprophagy in the Rat1
Richard H. Barnes, Grace Fiala, Bette McGehee and Ann Brown

Graduate School of Nutrition, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York

A technique has been described for the total prevention of coprophagy in the rat. The procedure can be used with weanling rats where growth curves are being obtained, or with older rats in which excreta are being collected for metabolism studies. Measurement of the extent to which rats maintained on raised wire screens eat their feces indicates that 50 to 65% of the excreted feces are normally ingested. In the presence of a nutritional deficiency, fecal consumption may be even greater.

p.s
The subject above also noted my beautiful blue eyes which caused even more personal issues and probably a bigger emission of farts and cophrophagy in the times to come:

Yes, I suppose your boyfriend requires a lot of your time.

Anyway, don't get used to your master's (me, of course) reinforcements. I kept my expectatives very low to make possible to laugh with that imitation.
