X Chromosome Matches, utility?

As a male I got both of my mom's X combined in one, half-half, and she got hers from both her parents.

Does X-Matches serve any purpose, as X chromo recombines? my X matches in gedmatch are few, and seem to be too far to be related.

I have matches on X and Autossomal, maybe related?? but her name/surname is unfamiliar..
