Why do the Somalis not want to consider themselves European even if all the genetic studies prove that they are European?

I tried to discuss with a Somali, telling him that all the peoples of Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, etc. Are European and they must consider themselves as such, but he told me that I was a "suprematist".

Why do they not want to assume their Europeanity?
