I'd say Balkan area. Romania culturally and genetically has nothing to do with the east slavic countries, but there are a lot of similarities with south slavic countries like Serbia and Bulgaria. But, being a latin speaking country, Romania is somewhat unique in the region and does not belong to the slavic world.

Why would we Poles be the same, as Romanians. That would imply we have many admixtures as Turks, Gypsies, Hassidic Jews, etc these are all races that are common in your country that our country has defended against assimilation for centuries in the middle ages, your country has accepted those tribes as your own. There is nothing wrong with that, it is reality so you have to get your head out of "dreamland" and just accept your tribal identity whatever it is. Polish people are a noble race near the border so we have an old layer of Balkan genetic that has been present for millenias.
