I doubt that there is much in Turks, given that they cluster somewhat east of other West Asians, which is consistent with them being about 80% West Asian and 20% Central Asian.

I have to find the book and look at it again for details.

He said that Western Sicily is different to Eastern and explained it with the fact of Phoenician presence.

Whereas he said in the Eastern parts that were heavily colonized by Greeks this shows up in their genetic profile compared
to other parts of the Island.
But i think he mentioned that Inland parts have reasonable Greek ancestry as well.

In particular he focused on the Greek ancestry in Sicilian males.

Triandafilidis says they are related if not even predominantly Greek

Greek Cypriots are along with Italians,Greeks and Albanians the closest genetic relatives to ancient Mycanaeans

On a final note, I kept thinking while reading this article that many Greeks will certainly welcome the conclusion that the modern populations most similar to the Mycenaeans are Greeks, Cypriots, Italians, and Albanians.
