I do not even consider the USA, because it is a superpower country that makes you follow the Kardashians in any continent
But it's funny how Mexican artists are famous around here, culture, novelas etc

Mexico is considered the hollywood of Latin America for a reason, our influence and impact can be seen all over Latin America
but obviously others will want to deny it because they envy Mexico and its greatness

all great Latino artist started their careers in Mexico, such as Shakira and Enrique Iglesias, the Brazilian singer of Alexander Pires is a Brazilian artist that started his Spanish singing career in Mexico
people from all over the world who want to be successful in Latin America move to Mexico City to achieve their goal

Right now?

Brazilian youtubers for the younger generations (we the youth don't listen to much modern music from Brazil unless it's some funk just for the lolz like Baile de Favela, ta Tranquilo ta favoravel), Brazlian singers and 70's-80's-90's musical artists (Mamonas, Maria Bethania, Caetano Veloso, Xuxa, Rita Lee, Renato Russo, Raul Seixas.....) and novela actors for the adults, only novela actors and perhaps some old style musical artist for the old ones who like only to watch the Brazilian novelas in third channel which is SIC, like my grandmother and my mother.

My Mother doesn't like Portuguese novelas, and loves the Brazilian ones because of the accent and she says the quality of the actors is much better.

Well, I have checked it and "Loka" has almost 300 million views so it's more of a Global Hit like "Assim Voce me Mata", so yes when it comes to Brazilian worldwide Hits, yes we use to listen to that.

But Brazilian music lost it's audience among Portuguese youth.

Since 2003, never a Brazilian hit single was considered again the top seller of the year here in Portugal. That last single was "Ja Sei Namorar" from Tribalistas.

"Cracker nuts originated in the country of Mexico, where in the 1940s a Japanese immigrant by the name of Yoshigei Nakatani invented “Japanese peanuts” (widely known in the Spanish-speaking world as cacahuates japoneses or maní japonés). There were no such “Japanese peanuts” in Japan at the time."

Impossible.

Portuguese artists dominate the musical scene here. The only artist here who managed to have sell one million albuns is a Portuguese Romantic genre singer called Marco Paulo.

And Amalia Rodrigues alone when she died sold so many albuns. She as far as now has sold 30 million albuns, she is the Portuguese music artist with more albuns sold.

Barbra straisend(?) has sold more albums than Madonna but her albums never sold more copies than Madonna's "True blue" album alone

The source is from 1999, if you search it well, 9 months before Amalia's death.

No, the true is that until the 90's nothing was counted nor verified as a sale in Portugal, the Music industry didn't even care about that.

If Amalia has tons of albuns it's because they used to be a success.

And CD plataforms only started to be sold after the mid 90's.

I am pretty sure that the Amalia Best Of album that came out in the year she died is the best selling artist of all time in Portugal in the modern times.

Be in mind that before 1990, at least in Portugal people used to buy LP's not CD's.......

The huge period cd records was in the 90s and she dont have any Cd alone that sold more copies than that album from Daniela Mercury, its like compare Britney Spears to Barbara, she has albums since 60s and something
Barbra streisand has sold more copies than Britney in US but none of her albums has sold more copies than baby one more time
alone
Will never found a source saying that Amalia has one album alone that sold more copies than Dani album, Marcos Paulo is closer to it
You should deal that its said that Daniela has the best sold album in Portugal and Amalia who has career since 50s is only the best record singer there due to counting many albums and thats different things

Mexican (sub)culture has influence in Brazil only because Silvio Santos, the owner of SBT tv channel doesn't have enough money, thus he buys rubbish from Mexico to show for his televiewers. Now Band tv channel is acquiring a lot of turkish material, the future is kebab rule here.

Not, Turkish novelas are shit and no one watch this, incluinding Band tv chanel. Globo, Sbt and Rede record are the relevants here.
SBT broke even some Globo telenovelas in the huge period of Mexican novelas in this country, RBD was really a fever, we have cards of them, dolls etc
Televisa is huge and made good productions, it is the hollywood of Latin America.
Its amazing how El Chavo del ocho still popular here after years by years

I was surprised when I noticed that many actors and actresses in Mexican Soap Operas came from other countries of Latin America.
