A lot of you hit the nail on the head! My mother is Anglo-American (English, Scottish and Scots-Irish) w/a trace amount of Amerindian. My dad's parents are from Northern Italy but found out my paternal grandma is of Gagauz ancestry which I wasn't told about until it came up in my DNA test. So to cut it short I am a mutt.

Europe East on my Ancestry DNA. I had to get my grandmother to clarify because I guess it was something my family didn't talk about for whatever reason lol. My dad didn't even know. People lie, science does not.

Cool. Can you post the whole breakdown. Which one did you test, 23andme?

I did Ancestry.com's test. They broke me down as 36% Great Britain, 34% Italian, 13% Irish, 13% Europe East, Trace regions: Iberian Peninsula 2% Finland/ Northwest Russia 1% and <1% Native American. I am not sure how accurate any of this is though I have heard different tests all seem to give different results.

USA :P You have a typical American girl face if you ask me. Other than that, Italy perhaps. You have İrish, Gagauz, Italian... very far away nationalities that creates a different result when mixed, which mostly occurs in USA.

Yea I am predominately Italian by ancestry and I pass when I am there. But I also get asked if I am Mexican a great deal in the US which I find odd.
