Hers make sense. Mine are more crazy because of how much diverse ancestry I have.

Look again -- my mother scores small amounts of Sierra Leonean (probably the best proxy for Senegal). :) I do not, however.

It does match us as mother/son (of course) but her results never look like they would go with mine, interestingly. For one I sometimes score no SSA and she always does, and I think the Baltic she scores mixes with some of my Mediterranean heritage and becomes "Balkan".

My Middle Eastern seems about right, I think, because a poster on Anthrogenica who was full southern Italian scored around 10%. But he also got 22% "Moroccan Jewish" and obviously I didn't score any.

she scores very few SSA so it's not so weird that u don't...the ME is from your father so it's fine but the huge amount of baltic your mom has should appear in your results as well, i think. balkan is not baltic..look at poles..they score very few to non

I'm not surprised I don't score SSA since my father should have none and I likely just didn't inherit most of my mothers SSA segments. Good to have it pinpointed to upper West Africa though which makes sense given Cape Verdean history.
