It tells you how certain they are about the results being accurate or not, basically they're shit tier in terms of accuracy unfortunately.

Congrats! I'd really like to see your results. By the way, what parts of Afghanistan are your origins from?

That answer is not so clear, on my mother's side at least. There are a lot of "gaps" if you will on my mother's family history, but her parents lived in Kunar. My dad's family is from Paktia.

And thats the main issue with 23andme and other ancestry websites. There is not enough sample from those ethnicities to have an accurate percentage.
Maybe GEDmatch might be helpful for her (ethnicity distance)

Central Asian and South Asian are grouped together on 23andme and that's why it's less concrete. Even Central Asians dont all cluster together and that category doesn't make sense either. Looking at the gedmatch of Afghans, it's already obvious around 60 - 65% of their ancestry comes from a Caucausus like component, anywhere from 10 - 30% is PIE, and the rest is various south asian components. This is not reflected in these dna tests though.

Basically your roots are in Eastern Afghanistan, let's say so.

Primarily. Though it is said that my mom's family doesn't trace their roots to kunar, but they last lived there. My dad is definitely an Eastern afghan though.
