A lot of Kazakh can or look like Chinese. There is a lot of overlapping. Some look more Mongolian. I know a Kazakh girl here in the Netherlands. There were some Chinese tourists and they tried to speak Mandarin with her, they thought she was Chinese.

That's a very powerful face. Its volume must be at least 2.5 SDs above average by European standards.

IDK about that South Asian element, but it may be related to the people that lived there before 3000 BC
