We do not have accurate HIV / AIDS statistics available, but I can quote Dr Inonge M Kamungoma-Dada from the UN who advised that 63% of the inhabitants between the ages of 15 – 25 years, south from the Sahara, are already HIV positive. The amount of HIV infections in this age group will increase by about 5 million per annum.

That was the very same sentiment I said, and continue to say when approached, by street charity workers.

I usually wait for them to finish with the bleeding heart story and then tell them I do not want to donate a penny to this cause as "we" have been doing that for as long as I can remember with no discernible benefits.
"It's like pissing into a deep black hole" (My very words), to which they are usually taken aback by this, especially the non-white ones, but stutter out something along the lines of "but, that's racist, and we have to help them!"

It's then that I usually throw a figure of the population of Ethiopia in the 80s compared to today and ask them whether we should keep on feeding them to reproduce either dead children or rebel warriors who merely perpetuate the same vicious circle.

What struck me was the difference between infections between the whites and the blacks in South Africa and I wouldn't be too surprised if a large number of 'white infections" come due to rapes by black South Africans.
I have found data from on avert.org (http://www.avert.org/safricastats.htm) and of course only a couple of people were visited but the results are tale telling- for the sake of keeping it easy I will only show "black" and 'white" results:

What could cause the immense differences between both population groups ?
I actually wouldn't be too surprised that if there would be no blacks in South Africa the number of HIV infected people in percentage would be at a European level....

Note: HIV prevalence in the Netherlands is about 0.2% (and a lot of infected are indeed foreigners who have imported the disease into our country)

Hmm I decided to look back into old newspapers and found several interesting 1980's articles in the New York Times.

Remember that we are a modern and very civilized society, and we were already back then-- but in those days we were just as helpless and in blind panic as many (much more backward and primitive) South Africans are today.

A point of interest: it sounds very much like actual fear and panic.

Also..another point of interest: Africans (how primitive they may be in comparison to us are not the only ones seeking council of witch doctors while being critically ill, the renowned Dutch actor and comedian Sylvia Millecam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvia_Millecam)(1956-2001) did the same thing when she had developed breast cancer. I agree with that. That shows how primitive they actually are. But then again- we have had some pretty messy stuff here too.
Like the killing of the Jews during the Black Death in the 14th century or the madness that was the result of consuming ergot-tainted rye- that ended in the 1692/1693 Salem Witch Trials.
Yes I have to dig very deep into history to find even a hint of the madness that disease or poisoning can cause when it strikes an unenlightened populus. Even in those days Europeans were not so unenlightened as we are now made to believe. Africans are- and have always been- much more primitive then even the medieval European.

Africa has about 13% of the world's population but nearly 83% of the global total of HIV infected people.

They will go to have a serious problem there of overpopulation, though some countries such as Nigeria is already experiencing.

Not enough food for everyone so this should help things out a bit.

Now if malaria, HIV and genocide would just get the rest of them down to normal levels populational in a way that is "positive", we will not have anymore to send bags of food, money, etc; and they would not emigrate to Europe anymore. This is just a natural and normal balance of thing but yes a little bit cruel.
