Claude Debussy was born into a poor family in France in 1862, but his obvious gift at the piano sent him to the Paris Conservatory at age 11. At age 22, he won the Prix de Rome, which financed two years of further musical study in the Italian capital. After the turn of the century, Debussy established himself as the leading figure of French music. During World War I, while Paris was being bombed by the German air force, he succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 55.

Embracing nontraditional scales and tonal structures, Claude Debussy is one of the most highly regarded composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and is seen as the founder of musical impressionism.

You seem to have a great liking to the old musical composers of the early modern period, and honestly, I don't blame you especially on the fact that today's music is pure garbage. Anyway, he looks very western European, and can pass in regions like Bavaria, Austria and so on.

Romantic period\era of Western classical music is one of my favorites.

My favorite period was during the early 20th century musical artists like Sergei Lemeshev and so on, and many old American singers like the Inkspots, the Mills Brothers and etc. People always tell me that I was born in the wrong generation since I have far more stronger liking and association to the much older generation than the new ones, especially the ones that were born in the 2000's.

What type of music is popular and on the charts where you live? American music like pretty much everywhere else or people consume a lot of Arabic music in the Emirates? Out of curiosity.

The newer generation listen to the same garbage as the Americans like Kesha and so on. My generation on the other hand listen to rock and even old vintage Arabic music from artists like Umm Kalthoum, Fairouz and so on. My dad's generation primarily listen to the old music of the Levant and even from western countries like Italy, Britain and so on.

That's my cousin via many ancestors from Northern France. I looks like him, a little bit.
