I think Poland.

Levantine no doubt. Greeks are sand niggers.

I think Poland.

Myanthropologies thinks he looks Levantine and cannot pass in Poland at all.

If he passes as MENA then so do 90% of South Europeans.

Doesn't look remotely Levantine.

More passable as a dark Pole than a Levantine.

I said he even looked more Polish than Sicilian.

Poland easily in this case.

I never said he looks Levantine, he doesn't. But I emphasized how non-Polish that dude looks by saying that he would pass in Armenia or the Levant better than he would in Poland. And it's not because he looks mena, but because a chunk of Levantines and Armenians look Greek and so you would find more people who look like him there than you would find people who looks like him in Poland.

Foreeal, even crazydaisy looks more polish than he does, and that's not a joke. Darker poles tend to look either balkanic or kinda turnaid

Examples:
https://www.slavorum.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/polish-people-1024x684.jpg
https://qph.ec.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-2633ec4f740a0f693f84f49947c3a82e-c

The guy on the right in the first picture looks like he could be crazy daisy's brother. This Greek guy looks like none of them. If you want, I can easily find pictures of Levantines and Armenians who are less typical, but look similar to him.

He looks distinct south balkanic/European, but absolutely not polish lol.

Levantines do not look Greek. Any resemblance that exists can also be found in other Southern European countries. And while some of them do look Armenian, this particular man is not one of them. He does not look Armenian at all and would pass better in Poland.

I disagree, but okay. He doesnt really pass outside the Balkans, but he doesn't look polish

I guarantee you are the only person who will genuinely think he looks more Levantine than Polish.

More Polish, and within Poland it is the most common in Southern Poland.

Staszek Karpiel looks like a more robust version of that guy from the OP:

I still think he passes better in Poland than Sicily (though I can also say by raw number most Greeks would fit better in Sicily except those with blatant Balkan/Slavic input which is present even if people on here deny it).

Michał Stawiński (he has black hair):

And it makes sense since the "northern" affinities of Greeks match that of Poland better than Russia, Germany, or UK.

Map of % of people with light eyes + light hair, Southern Poland is much darker:

1 = up to 15%
7 = over 40%

I would say neither. He looks what he is, Greek that is. He has a familiar face/phenotype that passes all over Greece and I don't think any Greek would mistake him for either Polish or from the Levant.
He is from Patras, southwest Greece.

BTW There are a few other Greek footballers that are much more "Polish looking" than Samaris. eg, the guy below Avraam Papadopoulos:

This guy does look Polish. Or Czech/Slovak. Even Lithuanian. However he doesn't look Russian.

The original debate was whether the man in the original post looked more Polish or Sicilian. I said Polish because despite his coloring, he has an East Euro vibe. Then someone I know said not only does he look more Sicilian but he even fits as Lebanese better than Polish.. hence this thread.

Yes I understand the original debate, however for me this is a non issue in other words it is not something that is worth having a debate about it.
The person in question, pigmentation and features wise best fits in Greece, period. While a few darker Greeks may pass in the Levant and a few lighter ones may pass in eastern Europe , the person you posted does not belong into either of these categories.

To illustrate my point better, look at the following photo. This is a typical /average Spanish phenotype. Would you start a thread asking whether he passes better in England or Morocco? I don' t think you would since it is obvious that this person passes best in his home country.
