I do not know if this is close to reality, because PentaDrägon said to me: "With 111 markers you are likely to pin-point your final clade, or get very close to it without SNP testing, Use Nevgen.org or talk to a project admin, of your haplogroup.

Its important to remember that FTDNA will predict your haplogroup based on your initial 14 STRs, out of your 111, so the HG they will give you is nowhere near your final one, admin.

After your STRs come, its up to you SNP test. "

So I went on several Y-DNA predictors to check the results!

FTDNA:

Some Y-DNA predictor:

(i get S26, here, not M269):

nEVGEN SHOWS YOU ONLY r1B, NOT SUBCLADE?

Not. Why? Nevgen should show me my SUBCLADE?

Yes, like this. Is this your result ???

Yes... but dude, look : "probability" >>> 6,48. But mlukas obtains 85,5 of probability... lol!

Btw, R1b U106>Z18> Z17>>L257 It's very unclear for me, what is my precise haplogroup? And where it comes from (i know for "R1b U106" now, but for M269: The map of FTDNA is in contradiction with Wikipedia)?

Your probability for "unsupported subclade" is 90% (!).

So probably you have some new / unknown subclade.

Or some very basal / ancestral subclade of R1b-M269.

More clearly, what does that mean "Your probability for" unsupported subclade "is 90%"?

That he does not find my subclade?

It means what Litvin said. Cool results - probably you have new subclade, previosuly not discovered:) It's rather more probable then very basal, becasue you have mixed ancestry.

Cool man ! congrats! try removing some STRs at nevgen, for example 111 gives you a unsuported clade, so try 90, then 67, so you can find what branch are you at, at least.

I do not see where I could click on "90"?

Nevgen show me only "67 markers" !!!

(I just got it, i have to delete some numbers manually).

This is why I'm happy I got shitload of matches when I tested and close matches who had done bigY while I just did 37.

Here are my results:

90 markers:

86 markers:

82

67 markers

My opinion:

But this is perhaps only approximate, since Nevgen does not have all my markers, so I guess this website can only tell me that I might be this specific subtacle based on my 67 markers (I get 84.6 with 67 markers).

I guess if Nevgen would supports the 111 markers, I might get a pretty different result.

From where do you put all the values in the sheet?

Do you have a FTDNA kit?

If yes:

I don't have FTDNA, but I found another site, where you just had to upload your raw dna data file to find your haplogroup. Thanks anyway!

I've buy, also, before (when I bought the Y-dna) "R1b - M343&M269 Backbone SNP Pack" and "M269" SNP, what is this? I know that these are haplogroups but, I speak of the "pack", what does it add to buy the SPN m269 and the R1b - M343&M269 Backbone SNP Pack?
