Funny how people are saying it is 'obvious', when you-know-who claims that Cypriots look exotic even for Greece itself, let alone Italy.

Cypriots look more like southern Italians than like mainland (or even North Aegean) Greeks, but they would not pass well in northern Italy.

But the point is that, when the country is taken as a whole, Italy is still undoubtedly more Northern/Central European-shifted than is Greece. Anyway, what would your answer to the OP be then?

Everything from Abruzzo south is less North European than Greece.

Anyway my answer remains the same: the Cypriot passes better in Sicily than does the other guy in the north.

Theo Paphitis. The other man does not look Italian at all.

You should have posted another man instead for Theo Paphitis. He looks Levantine and that's not a stereotypical south Italian look, assuming that you wanted to post a Med looking guy as a second option.

Yes of I saw them in the street I would guess Branson as the foreigner. Papithis perhaps as a strange southerner with bad hairstyle.
Paphitis superficially reminds me of Paolo Berlusconi (the brother)
Who is north Italian but has a bad hairstyle

Well if I posted a more 'standard Euro-Med' type then the answer would have been too obvious, so this is more of a challenge.

He doesn't look particularly Levantine but even if he did he might still be able to pass. He passes better as southern Italian than he would in Thessaly, Epirus, or even the Peloponnese.

He looks Levantine, his phenotype is very common in Cyprus and in the Levant. I don't know how common it is in Italy, but he can't pass as typical south Italian.

Not typical but he does pass.

Does he look Greek to you or no?

I would guess southern Italian or Jewish. I do not see him and immediately think Levantine to be honest.

Theo doesn't look straight up Levantine, but rather a South European with Levantine influence.

Richard Branson on the other hand looks straight up North European.

To sum it up: Both look foreign for Italy, but for different reasons.

Theo Paphitis obviously. The Englishman looks very Northern European.

Lol Levantine Lol

What are the looks exclusively owned by the Levante?
What are the looks exclusively owned by the North?
What are those exclusively owned by the Balkans?

Someone here who knows?I want to learn...

Theo would pass in the Levante better than the other guy no doubt, but i think in the Levante he would be considered white and european looking.

His tan is more or less white..
Alot of Greeks ,including Cretans have darker tan than him..

He looks European but more Italian/Iberian"except of Greek" than German, this for sure
Whereas the other guy would only pass in Northern Italy.
And is definitly not what comes to mind when you usually think of a Person from
Italy

Theo, but Branson can pass as an Askhkenazi Jew. Something about his eye shape and smile. Give him dark hair and a kippah, and he won't look unusual.

Richard can't pass for Italian while Paphitis would be a familiar face in Sicily or Naples.

Branson looks atypical even for Britain. How many Branson lookalikes would you see if you were to walk around in an English town? Not many I suppose.

IMO the question should be , who can pass better in Britain, Italians or Cypriots? And the answer to this question is: Italians.

Branson isn't the most typical face for Britain, but still more so than Kit Harrington, Aidan Turner, Rowan Atkinson and the other dark Brits that people often like to spam. And of course more Italians than Cypriots per capita would pass in Britain - Italy is rather more Northern Euro-shifted...

You think Brits are trolled in this forum? This has not caught my attention. Anyway If it happens it probably comes the same type users who troll south Europeans:
South Americans, Levantines and West Asians.

Of course not as much as some other ethnic groups/nations, but there was that now banned user Bloody who was obsessed with how allegedly dark British and Irish people are compared to all other Northern and even Central Europeans, while for a long time there was the Atlantic Facade nonsense too.
