Yesterday, Willie Nelson was reportedly busted with six ounces of pot by the U.S. Border Patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
Country music legend Willie Nelson, 77, was arrested in possession of six ounces of marijuana at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas on yesterday (Black Friday) morning (Nov 26) around 9am.
Why would Willie Nelson haul six ounces of marijuana with him to a border checkpoint, where they actively check for drugs even with drug-sniffing dogs, check for smuggled people and more, is still in question and is leaving many people ’shaking their heads.’
This isn’t the first time pot has been found in his tour bus, in 2006, Nelson’s tour bus was busted with nearly 2 pounds of marijuana and 3 ounces of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Nelson was reportedly released shortly after posting $2,500 bond, and if convicted, Willie Nelson faces 180 days in county jail.
