Such cultural phenomenons aren't significant at all. They propagate by contiguity, so you can expect both Portuguese and Catalan popular cultures being closer to the central arch-dominant Iberian culture (i.e. Castilian Spain) than they are to each other.

On the other hand there are striking commonalities between Catalonia and Italy as far as sociology and social psychology are concerned.
Both countries share a specific petty bourgeois mindset, both anarchistic and conservative. People only care of their family businesses and have a poor loyalty to the States they belong to.

They also have a passion for visual arts and design, but I don't know if it's correlated to the former feature.

Personally, i think the only culture we have similar to the Catalan one is the "culture of indipendentism" that sadly influenced some narrow-minded Italians.

Jokes apart the only Catalan influence (though quite small today) is in Alghero. For the rest i don't think we have similar culture. Food not for sure...

The arch-dominant Iberian culture (Castillian) is only in Spain, not in Portugal for sure, even though we are closer to Spaniards than to anyone else.

Mostly degenerated art and extremely late dinner habits.

Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Atoni Tápies is what you would call degenerated art? I think that is subjective but undoubtedly they are some of the most resounding names worldwide when it comes to the artistic movement of surrealism and abstract expressionism.

Our dinning habits aren't much different as well when compared to the rest of Europe. Probably not as late as in Catalonia but also not at 5 p.m. like several westerner tourists seem to do here. Going out at night in Portugal usually means between midnight and 1 a.m. while when I was in Poland it would usually mean going out between 9-10 p.m.

As for the topic question, any Iberian culture will be inevitably always more similar to another Iberian culture.

Besides the ruins and archaeological sights there's no Greek heritage in modern Catalonia's culture.

I think the food is definitely more similar to Italian, since both are Mediterranean regions

also I have read a little about Catalan cuisine, and seems to be more similar with Italian

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the example of Brazilian Lebanese.
But the danza del paloteo is part of the Celtic legacy, it works in whole Spain, Catalonia included of course.

Catalan culture for sure is closer to Portuguese, in every fuckin aspect.

Saying Catalonia was a Greek colony is a good joke. Ampurias and Rosas = all Catalonia according you, LOL.

ACTUALLY the region of Athens and the region of Neopatras were Catalan colonies (being sincere Aragonese rather than Catalan, or better said, a mix of both), which is quite ironic taking account your post
