European 69%
British Isles 0%
East Europe 18%
Finland 0%
Scandinavia 0%
Southeast Europe 40%
Iberia 11%
West and Central Europe 0%

Southeast Europe and East Europe makes sense, but why the relatively high amount of Iberian. How is that explained? I saw Ylla scored 5% Iberian too, she is Albanian(Balkan).

Do you have any jewish diaspora DNA?
some Sephardic jews (who have Iberian DNA) Settled in the balkan area.
Ashkenazi jews have some Southern European DNA too.

A little short being European genetically, In other words you are not a genus meaning fathering a child is not likely to be European either. Unless you mate with a European and your child later also mates with a European its child would be genetically European.

If I were 69% SSA you wouldnt say Im not black. Im obviously not fully genetically European but Im almost fully westerneuroasian. And more then half european.

both 23andme and DNA Land assign my ethnicity as European. And the hospital in Austria assigned me as "kaukasisch" (caucasian) once when I was in rehab to lose weight. After asking if that means white they said it means from europe.

And I look European, atypical exotic European but still.

I understand that we are talking about genetics not phenotypes.

There are also many mongol looking blondes where I question their European origins as well - this is typical Turk autosomal and you are away from that

What do you mean with Turk autosomal? Why would I be compared to a Turk? I score 71% European on 23andme.

Most people count even Middle Easterners such as Armenians and Lebanese as White so if you count them as White you should count my 11% middle eastern too as white, then Im left with 14.9% Southasian autosomal DNA and 85.1% White DNA, most people agree 85% White is enough to be White.

But back to my original question, why the iberian, how is that explained, what do you think Loki? Do you think it has something to do with sephardic jews?

Not sure man.. you should compare this report with your other genetic analyses (like 23andme) to make sense of it.

Im grasping for straws I think, would like to have some jewish ancestry, but on 23andme I dont have any Iberian. Longbowman thinks its unlikely.

I really have no clue. 23andme has no sephardi population but they also vary, some might have balkan the ones who settled in balkan some who consider themselfes sephardi and are from northafrica or middle east have lots of northafrican and middle eastern, and almost all of them have some ashkenazi too. On 23andme I score 0.8% Ashkenazi. I have Israel among my locations in DNA Family. And 220 relatives with jewish ancestry.

I get trace amounts of Jewish in various genetic tests as well, but I think it is probably just a sign that European Jews and Gentiles are somewhat related genetically, I don't think it's actual Jewish roots for either of us

I've seen some Jewish people's tests, and I've seen them get things like 2% Italy/Greece and 1% Eastern Euro, which I think is also just a sign of overlap rather than genuine admixture
