Whoa #6 I know very well. Taught at an early age by my mother not to trust anyone but it's better not to trust anyone than to put yourself in a position where you'll be fucked because when you get fucked you get fucked hard. You should always remind yourself people do things for their own interest even if they themselves think otherwise. If it seems like their intentions are good it's only because their interests don't run counter to your own.

I disagree with #3. A child should be taught not to complain but to tough it out. People who push forward don't complain. We have an entire generation of whiners who think they're owed something.
