Given that La Rochelle is almost literally half way in between both countries - located on the coast of Western France - I am interested in this. I am only posting the ethnically French councillors:

Spain. Some of them even fit as far as southern Italy and Greece, more than in Britain.

Both in equal measure. Some more Spanish (and generally South Euro), others more British.

I'd say Spain for most of them.

Spain.

I don't know why people assume French are so light that they can't fit in Southern Europe.

Many would pass without problem in Italy and Spain.

Spain, not even debatable.

Comparing Brits and French populations is kind of silly, Brits as a whole are much more nordic looking than French.

For some reason this forum has a tendency to nordify the French population, a country where the large majority of the population is composed of various degrees of Mediterranean and Alpinoids with an important dinaroid element also.

Most in Spain. However, some of them could pass in Britain.

It depends. I think the northernmost French departments like Nord-Pas de Calais, Burgundy, Normandy and possibly Brittany are pretty similar to Britain, but most of France is more brunette and Med-shifted than that.

I'm French, so you can trust me. Two thirds of the French people look closer to Spaniards. Only some people living in the northwesternmost regions, Normandy, Picardy, Brittany may look more British than Spanish...and yet, not all of them.

French in general look closer to Spaniards than to British imo.

The exceptions are regions like Normand, Brittany etc.

I have posted almost the same thing some seconds after you, haha.

But I trust you, it matches my observations in France.

Still jealous because French are overall more northern-looking than Spaniards? But look at lattitudes, my friend. Spain is located between France and Morocco, and thus, is a transitional aera between the two countries.

No, he was merely making an observation that British and French people don't (necessarily) look that alike. In another thread, I said that the two overlaps most overrated on anthrofora are British and French plus Bulgarians and Greeks. Also, Spain and Morocco would possibly have far more overlap were it not for all the Black African admixture in the latter, so the fact that Spain is in between France and Morocco is a rather moot point.

Spain doesn't really overlap with Morocco. France and Spain overlaps more than Spain and Morocco.

And look, I'm always saying that there is some overlap between Southern Europe and North Africa (more than people would like to assume), but Spaniards as a whole look closer to French. Most Maghrebis are recognizable in Paris at the first sight, Spaniards not really.

Graham Chapman from Monty Python is a perfect example of common Anglo-Saxon type that you will hardly find in Latin France.

I won't deny France has more in common with Spain than with Britain. But your own obession about whiteness makes the whole thing suspiscious. How do you look like in real life, Cristiano viejo?

Even so, in the northernmost regions their faces usually don't look Brit and there's a much higher proportion of mediterranean and alpine types than anywhere in the Brit islands.

Just for accuracy, you probably meant Picardie instead of Burgundy wich is in central-east France.

Imo France is like 60-65% Northern Italy and 35-40% Britain. The high numbers of Alpine and Dinaric types make it closer to Italy (especially the North) than to Spain, while the fairer French usually look more like Brits than Germans, as the latter have too many extreme Faelids, Tronders and Nordids to overlap that strongly with the French.

Then you should have named Italy instead Spain in the title.

Your obsession toward Spain played a bad turn to you again...

La Rochelle is South of the Loire and those who look kind of british are obviously coming from North of the Loire and with their higher nordic IQ they are helping the Southern half of France to be a decent place instead of a wog wasteland.
