... what should it be about?

(Question particularly aimed at those who read or used to read them, but to everyone in general who would give them a try.)

Basically, what setting, style, plot or moment in time would appeal you and lead you to read it?

Comicdom needs more good cyberpunk! Transmetropolitan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmetropolitan) set the bar so high that it seems like no one's dared to even try since Ellis finished it.

I wanted to be a comic book artist when I was a kid. I drew many characters, still draw them. Thinking of actually doing it on my spare time. What do you think?

I wanted to say quantum-hoopla space opera, but on second thought the visual challenges presented by the genre might be unsurmountable.

Maybe something similar to what Charles Burns or Daniel Clowes do.

I'm actually thinking of basing my comics on the Illuminati conspiracies, after the one-world government is established.

Just to bump this thread:

Are there any particular works of literature you'd like to see in comic book/graphic novel form, people?
