My father’s side is Dutch, my mother’s side is Turkish. These DNA results caught me by surprise because I have no known British ancestors. Then again, the DNA bubble for British covers the Netherlands, and there’s even a chance that family descend from Puritans who fled the British Isles centuries ago.
