Yeah, normally Chinese surnames with 3 syllables are the oldest Chinese settlers. Go-sieng-fiao, the Spanish made Chinese men in the country use their full name as the new family name of their descendants. Some Chinese changed their surnames entirely.

I actually think 1/4 should show up to a certain degree in many instances. Though I do think it is also random and can turn out completely invisible in one's phenotype.

How about her mom? I think Chinese genes mask a lot of European features, her Chinese genes is from her dad. Her mom is just half paleo-mongoloid and half Basque with no Chinese admxiture.

i can see some slight influence in the mom but if I saw her on the street, I'd just consider her Asian. A lot of Hapas/Eurasians actually look 100 % Asian so it's not unusual at all

Is it easier for Latino Mestizos to show admixture compared to Filipino Mestizos? Maybe because Native Americans themselves already have Ancient Caucasoid mixed in as well.
