A Darwinian theory of beauty

I've never spent too much time on exploring where the origins of our perception of beauty lie, but listening to this short lecture (http://www.ted.com/talks/denis_dutton_a_darwinian_theory_of_beauty.html) made me wonder.

What's your opinion, and would you agree with Dutton's theory?
