Just to let you know... your browsers shouldn't tell you anymore "this site isn't secure", etc. :) It might take a few hours or so to propagate throughout I think.

Very good news indeed. I think it will also help from any attacking the site via dos attacks.

AVG takes me to its safe page on occasion. I don't know if that's related.

No offense, but it's still by far the shitiest forum I've ever been on, from a technical point of view.

Why so? They lay out is quite pleasant to me.

The lay out is quite good indeed. However the crashes and other problems in function are way ahead of any competition. As of the moment for example, I'm unable to stay logged in once I temporarily leave the forum.

Crashes might be from all the flooding from Chineses and Indians browsing the forum from Baidu? xD If you never leave the forum your problem will be solved as well xD
On a more serious note, one of the things I would like to have is an option to access people who thumbed me up, since it seems to be impossible to see once the notifications are gone.

Hmmm... I cannot replicate this. But try deleting your cookies and temp internet files, clear the cache and restart. It should hopefully solve your problem.

Already did that. I also get this vbulletin message when I log in:

Invalid Redirect URL (http://theapricity.com/forum/forum.php)

Is this perhaps what you're looking for? :)

It's an .htaccess issue.. something I should be able to tweak to resolve. In fact, I made some settings now. Do you want to test it again for me please?

I'll stay off for a while and will report later.

Actually I can see it now. It's because you log in at just https:// and not https://www. The "www" lacking is the issue. However, it should not be like that. I'll have to modify it so that it automatically redirects, or works on both protocols.

some images are not secure ; https is actually useless at the moment.

Well it is secure in areas where it is most needed, as in when you log in, and in private messages. But I will see if I can get the whole site cleared eventually.

Seems to be ok.

Because not everything is about technicalities, Levantis.

As someone said earlier, only images are in http.

Now it would be really wonderful if we didn't get an instant ban when logging from tor. :D

edit: actually, it seems to be working

This is why I must sometimes log twice or the front page after logging shows unlogged status when I am logged in reality?

No, this is to do with a redirect.. I'll have to check that.

I almost forgot that this forum was habitually opening pop-ups on my console. Ad spam was a huge turn-off. Good job changing the site's behavior.

Is this why sometimes it takes a minute or two to load everything? Not that I'm complaining, given it's free.

No, unfortunately that is due to the advertising company. I have complained to them about the bad quality of their adverts, and that it takes long to load... I'll follow up.

Right now, this is the best condition this website has ever been . No more pop ups and intrusive ads, now i can browse on my mobile as well as pc without putting any ad blocker to it. Thanks loki for this and we hope to see more such improvements on this forum in future.:thumb001:

Yep. Sometimes the forum tends to stutter but right now, things seem to be o.k. Keep up the good work, gentlemen !
