Are these people related to the Suebians who created the kingdom of Galicia in Spain?

Of course !:D unless these Suebians was a result of other Germanic groups arriving ancient Suabia: but no chance on error abput Galicians! They/we have historical evidence by Romans historicians that we're the real McCoys. :D

Most of the German settlers came from Alsace-Lorraine, Austria, Bavaria, Franconia, and the Palatinate. A small group can be traced to Middle Germany. However, comparatively few came from the Swabian regions of what was then known as Further Austria. It is thus unclear how the group came to be called the Banat Swabians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banat_Swabians). Most likely it is because the majority registered and embarked from the Swabian city of Ulm.

There are still some of them together with mixes with Serbs and Hungarians, but most of them were expelled after WWI and the rest of them after WWII.

In my oppinion, Donauschwaben were much less mixed with Romanians than Transylvanian Saxons. All German members of my family look(ed) German (Faelid-Alpine-ScandoNordid in various proportions). All Germans I personally know look pretty German (there are exceptions, but same as there would be in their home region in Southern Germany). Whereas for Transylvanian Saxons, living for almost a thousand years with Romanians has produced LOTS of people that look very Romanian. This is a bit of an irony, given that Suebians were friendly with Romanians and mastered Romanian language so well, that they had no accent, whereas Saxons had cold relations with Romanians and many did not / refused to learn Romanian. Both German groups were active German (dialect) speakers in their homes, regardless of their relations with Romanians. My family is an exception, because my grandparents have moved in Oltenia, a 100% Romanian (+ Gypsy) region, where noone knew/spoke German. As a consequence, both me and my father are poor German speakers and ALWAYS communicate in Romanian.
