Since Sikeliot still insists that the Assyrians he has just posted pass better in Sicily than even the Southern French do, and that France (including the South) is little different to Scandinavia, I thought I would make this thread. As usual, I shall only post the ethnic French ones.

What for, you will not change Sikeliot perception with a few pics.

Not hugely close to either, but clearly closer to Sicily than to Sweden in terms of looks.

Neither.

But individually most would pass in Sicily. In Sweden only a minority would pass.

This is a case of phenotype not matching genotype, because surely genetically they would be closer to Swedes.

What do you mean? It happens a lot, it's a well known fact.

To give an example: the Assyrians you posted are closer genetically to Sicilians than to Pakistanis but certainly look closer to Pakistanis.

I see more a Spain/Britain coonection in general, especially "culturally" Many could pass in Italy however several would look foreign and a few maybe in Sweden too.

South Western French, genetically, are considerably more southern-western than all the other French groups.

Many could pass in Sicily.

Many people with foreign surnames. The rest are mostly Alpines with Med and a little Gaulish influence. Definitely different from French people I saw in Lyon (where Gaulish element is dominant)...

Shifted toward Basques though, not toward Sicily.
