Jacques Cousteau...one letter is missing on the thread title, if any moderator can get it right I would appreaciate it.

Maybe unknown for the younger generations, but was very famous worldwide 2 or 3 decades ago, great ocean explorer, conservationist, filmmaker, scientist etc.

That nose tempts me to classify him as Armenoid but I think he is just Dinaric.

Holy crap. He's the epitome of a Bronze Age maritime Bell Beaker type.

Judging by this old coloured photo of him I will stick with the Dinarid phenotype.

Judging by this old coloured photo of him I will stick with the Dinarid phenotype.

That is his youngest son Pierre-Yves Cousteau. His second son curiously died in the Tagus river near Lisbon.

Dinarid with very convex nose.

I think that Wes Andersons' Steve Bissou was vaguely based on Cousteau. ( OT not a fan of Wes Anderson, like Tim Burton he is an impressive in the artistic setting but quite poor on screenplay and story)
Back to the topic Cousteau seems Dinaric. Not for the nose (which is not the typical ripid Dinaric one) but because he is round headed and long narrow faced.

Baskid

Can't be Baskid, those are dolichocephalic and similar to Atlanto-Meds but with the dinariform element added.

Cousteau was clearly brahicephalic and Dinaric (borderline Armenoid) imo.

In one of the photos he could pass as from Crete.

Absolutely Baskid.
Just like his brother Pierre Antoine Cousteau, a journalist who was sentenced to death in 1945 for his extreme Hitlerian opinions, but fortunately escaped the firing squad.

Again I repeat, Baskids are dolichocephalic, basically Atlanto-Meds with dinariform element, Cousteau was clearly brachycephalic.

Cousteau was clearly brachycephalic.

Clearly, he wasn't!

That's a dinaric skull all the way, it's even rather planoccipital and you forgot to equate his very large cranial width wich would surely end up resulting an very high (brachycephalic) cranial index.

Dinaric mixed with Med and Gaulish Nordic. Common face among ethnic French that could easily be Italian also...
