His FTDNA genetic austosomal results arrived yesterday, and here's his gedmatch genetic results. His gedtmatch kit is T513174. He's full Palestinian like me, but his results are very interesting to say the least(he's 27% Southern European admixed according to his FTDNA results).

Yeah that might be one of the reasons, so he is not an average Palestinian I guess. I remember you said your family was from Acre? There's been a lot of outsiders in that city because of all the different empires that ruled it.

I belong to the "Bayt al-Lafy" or the "house of Levy" clan in Arabic. You can say that we're "awlad'l Lafy" or the "children of Levy", yes.

That would explain why your West Asian score is slightly higher and the Near Eastern score is a bit lower than average including some European admixture.

He has some Western European shift which sends him toward Ashkenazim and Sicilians (he is surprisingly close to them given he is fully Levantine as far as recent history goes), and he is certainly not a transplanted Arabian unlike what some people try to portray Palestinians as.

Maybe some ancestry from the Crusades -- Norman or something?
