Anyone here a member of this subclade? I believe this subclade is Aegean in origin.

Anyone else more knowledgeable in genetics here?

According to eupedia this clade of G2a is thought to have a later bronze age expansion from the southern Caucasus rather than a Neolithic expansion since no G-M406 has been found in Neolithic sites. It peaks among the Chamalal people from southwestern Dagestan at 18% although is common in other west Asian areas such as Turkey(3-6%) and Georgia(3%), in Europe it is most common in Greece(2%) and Italy(3%). The overall distribution is around west Asia, west Europe and the Mediterranean. It is thought to have been part of the Kura-Araxes culture of the southern Caucasus and probably later on the Minoan culture of Crete. Wikipedia says that it probably formed around Turkey so I am assuming eastern Turkey since it is close to the Caucasus and is within the area that the Kura-Araxes culture was around, it formed around 14500ybp and has a TMRCA of 8500 ybp according to Yfull.
