Can't see the med onestly; looks like an alpino-din/norid intermediate; he can't pass in Central Europe because is a clear Italian, but we can say the same thing for Abate (who has nothing med either).

Cannot be Dinaric or Alpine because he doesn't have a Dinaric head shape. Lacks in head width. Vertex is too low for classic Dinaric and head is not short enough.
He seems quite small headed Mesocephalic Dinaric-Mediterranean is the most logical combination. (Nordic would imply a more capacious vault and a bigger face).

He's not a pure dinaric or a pure alpine, infacts, but he doesn't look med. to me. You say med because is Italian. He's a clear mixed phenotype in between the alpinid and the (depigmented) dinaroid. Pigmentation is secundary, we know it, but the light features of that guy get complicated a possibile med. admixture. Btw, without calipers and a direct craniometry, we could only suppose.

Anyway Giaccherini is maybe closest to this dolicomorph ( Mediterranean) Sicilian (Rassengeschichte der Menschheit, 1968 Ilse Schwidetsky).
But Giaccherini Is more squat faced and shorter headed and probably Dinaric-Noric influenced.
