It seems like quinoa is the stereotypical South American food. I grew up ocassionally eating it because I live on the west coast. But I just realized none of it was in the context of Ecuadorian food. It was just hippie health food or whatever.

How about llama milk? Have they appropriated that too?

the food on which south american populations have been thriving since like forever is rather corn more so than quinoa if I am not wrong
