I think the middle eastern compoment here is based on gulfers, cause I usually score like 10-12% East Med. My dominant components are Caucasus/Iranian hunter gatherer like and Steppe (mix of Northern European and Caucasus hunter gatherer) like, with a dash of South asian, according to ancient calculators. I don't have any middle eastern blood and it's odd to me. Though, I have majority west asian blood, so I guess that makes sense.

It's probably Basal Eurasian. South Asians and Afghans have high ANE, low Basel Eurasian

It's actually kind of funny, because on recent PCA plots, I always see pashtuns, Tajiks, and Balochis clustering closer to/just as far non Sicilian and Greek Europeans as Turks, and closer than other MENAs do. Based on their geography, you'd expect them to be the farthest

It means that Myanthro has more direct Indo-iranian ancestry. In fact, Iranians, afghans, south asians, tajiks have more direct Indo-iranian ancestry than any european.

Yes. I score around 60% steppe in ancient ancestry tools, I think Iranians score a fair amount too.

It's also because East Europeans get their eastern elements and steppe stuff from some other higher score of components like Baltic (peaks in Lithuanians/BeloRussians) and even for them to some extent from the North&Central Euro (Norway/DK/Swedish), probably some others too, when central eurasians it's gonna be mostly all in this "East Euro" which is more Russian than anything really east europe.

I think Ashkenazi component from JTest basically took few percent of WEST_MED, EAST_MED and WEST_ASIAN component of EUtest.
It looks completly random, since I dont get Ashkenazi in any other calculator, neither in FTDNA and MyHeritage results.
