What i get on puntdnal for comparison

77.7% Italian_Sicilian + 22.3% Mordovian @ 2.03

So compared to the Sicilian average, this area of the island seems to be halfway shifted to southern Greeks. Clearly some of the NE European in Greeks is native and existed early enough to be carried to Sicily. The high Atlanto-Med is also reminiscent of Mycenaeans.

If we are using this sample as an ancient Greek proxy then modern Greeks can be modeled as around 10-15% Slavic

That would require southeastern Sicilians to be 100% Greek. Do you think they are? Definitely significantly so, and they could very well be a good proxy (after all, they are similar to people in Apulia who also have a lot of Greek), but I am unsure if identical. What are your thoughts.

As I keep saying - Sicilians are genetically closer to other Italians than to Greeks.

When you consider that ancient mainlanders would have been less Eastern European than today, ancient Spartans for instance would, too, have been closer to say, Abruzzo than to modern mainland Greeks.

In your dreams - you have nothing to do with Greeks. If some ancient temples makes you feel Greek then 35% of Europe is culturally and genetically Greek.

But we both know they are not including Sicilians.

You're Epirote... a Hellenized Albanian. You're not similar to Sorcelow's result above nor to the Sicilian either... That Sicilian is probably more Greek than you. You don't get to decide who is and isn't Greek.

Whoever wants to enter the Greek realm will need to get past us first. We have been going this for 10,000 years and if some Gypsoids that want to enter the Greek realm without knowing to string a sentence in Greek nor culturally Greek its application is violently declined

And who was it brought into the Peloponnese by the Byzantines to ward off the Slavs and re-Hellenize the land? Wasn't your people up north who were wholly Slavicized... it was Greek-speaking people from southern Italy, Crete, and Anatolia.

At this point I just want the thread to not get off topic. I want that specific result to be discussed, so if the off-topic continues I will move it to another thread.

Here it is. For comparison I ran through some people from a few other regions (Palermo, Agrigento, Messina) who had almost 0 distance to Ashkenazim so this person is 7-10% or so NE European shifted by comparison.

If you look here, the light brown shaded areas -- SE Sicily up the coast and Apulia -- are Doric. They saw Sparta and other Peloponnese cities as their mother cities.

You posted some who were similar to this.

This type of result could represent Sicilians with less MENA, and Greeks with less Slavic.
