Not bad considering its not your first language and that in the States barely anybody speaks French, keep up the good work and practice.

Better than that of most Flemish with our mandatory French lol.

Well, I'm exaggerating. I've noticed you written French earlier is all. Work on the phonology.

Here is a good channel about spoken French, but it's advanced stuff.

The real French you don't learn in school is what he focuses on. The real informal French Francophones use which is different from how they write (even though most Francophones imagine their written French whenever they typically speak by omission). French is spoken differently than it is written, more so than English. French-speakers themselves often don't realise.

Not as sexy as a heavy French accent in English, but if the language becomes more fluent it can attract French ladies the same. ;)

Je peux l'écrire et le lire beaucoup plus facilement que de le dire.

Well, your French accent is very cute it doesn't matter what you say. It would make guys melt regardless. My odd Dutchling accent requires far more wit of me. ;)

First one I read is of a Francophone Belgian woman saying how she wished she spoke English better. You relative inability of speaking English adds to the cuteness of French-speaking women. Your culture is less blemished by Anglo consumerism still without being closed off of the world neither.

How do you recognize a French accent in English compared to an Italian one for example ? American or any Anglophone accent is easy to recognize in French & unique

"J'aime visiter ma TL (time line?) et critiquer mon français ici" your accent is actually a lot better here & almost perfect ! Were you trying to say "I like to check my timeline & receive opinions/critics about my French" ?

Italian accent sounds like Mario from the Super Mario Game. It sounds a lot like the Romanian Accent(Dracula). The French accent is much different sounds more like a mumble.

You are using feminine française for the name of the language, which is français.

You are using feminine française for the name of the language, which is français.

That is something that is foreign for a English speaker. We have fem and masculine but not used like the Latin languages. In English the closest to this you get would be something like Actress and Actor,,, one is feminine and the other is masculine. However, I believe technically you can call a female Actress an Actor still and it would be correct.

JohnSmith
09-03-2017, 04:22 AM
^^^Can you call a girl an actor?
The word actor refers to a person who acts regardless of gender, while actress refers specifically to a female person who acts; therefore a female can be referred to by either term. The Oxford English Dictionary states that originally "actor" was used for both sexes.

Amazingly good. Near native level.
(He has been living in France and Switzerland for a while)
Remarkably, he doesn't at all diphtonguize vowels, something Anglo speakers almost never can refrain from.

Jodie Foster speaks like a native.
If memory serves, she attended a French high school in LA.
