Not sure how accurate this is, but haplogroups according to WeGene:

Maternal: L1'2'3'4'5'6 (I view this as impossible)

For me I find the results all wildly different from one another, don't really know what is reliable. Thinking about whether it is worth getting a 23andme test done to see if results differ.

Im kinda in the same boat, I get crazy different results with every test I take and I have been debating on whether I should get one with AncestryDNA

But I already know what I am so I dont think its worth.

The results for the Chinese side on GEDmatch lined up with what I'd expect, Tujia/Han, Tujia people being very common in Hunan where she is from even though she always identified as simply Chinese. She is rumoured to have a Russian great-grandparent, and some of the tests seem to possibly reflect that as a Central Asian/former USSR.

As for my fathers side, we identify as Syriac/Aramean/Assyrian (changes all the time), it's a pretty endogamous group and the lack of Arabian admixture with the surrounding countries seems to evidence that but I'm still intrigued by the amount of Caucasus/Central Asian that comes up.

On the other hand, I may be wrong, but a Caucasus Jewish ethnic similarity may be explained by historical facts, such as ~2000 years ago there not being a split between these religious groups.

Imo, some Uighurs look East Asian+Irano-Afghan/MENA mix but Kazakhs and Kyrgyz people look more East Asian/Mongoloid.

Imo, some Uighurs look East Asian+Irano-Afghan/MENA mix but Kazakhs and Kyrgyz people look more East Asian/Mongoloid.

It's interesting because Uyghurs are actually very diverse. In North Xinjiang, they look more Mongol shifted, and admixed with Kazakhs, and maybe some ancient Han blood. In the South, they are more Iranid and somewhat Europid looking..

I'm a pretty social person, work in retail, the topic of where I'm from has come up many times and I frequently just refer to myself as Mr Worldwide AKA Pitbull, as I've had guesses in literally every continent. I have grown a thick beard recently which has skewed guesses to more Mediterranean though.

My maternal grandpa is from Beijing, family rumour is that his grandma was from Russia/Soviet Union, which may account for some Central Asian but I'm really not sure about this. Kinda buried family secret as she may have been a concubine etc, his grandfather was well-off and had 3 or so wives/partners, him descending from one of those apparently. My maternal grandmother was from Hunan, south China, thought to be purely Han Chinese (although Gedmatch says Tujia which is native to Hunan, very possibly true).

If I were to guess where I'm most frequently thought to come from, probably Mauritius/Seychelle, although I have to stress I really do get a crazy spread.

I have a lot of friends, including people from Xinjiang etc and I've never been guessed as an Uyghur, there are plenty of Afghans in Australia and I've never been picked as an Afghan (Hazara or Pashtun). I look too different to both of these groups. Han Chinese people don't pick me as being Chinese unless I tell them (I have surprised every Chinese customer by speaking Mandarin with them without fail), likewise with Syrian/Lebanese/Levant group.
