Answer: they are from Ireland, from all different regions (mostly the south and east). Just goes to show that despite all the "Germanic" vs "Celtic" nonsense, English and Irish look and are genetically very close.

Which is quite logical for neighbouring populations especially with places that have a very interconnected history. Logic goes out the window though with people or they base their opinion from some preconceived ideas about what they think populations look like.
