In all your experiences, which kit do you find the best for discovering your ancestry? Family Tree DNA, Ancestry DNA, 23andMe, or another? I can't afford to get more than one at the moment.

Thanks for any responses

23andme is good in my view. And afterwards you can upload your raw data to Gedmatch, for example, to get more detailed analysis.

Thank you! The raw data is a big sell

23andme has more advantages

I'm planning to test with LivingDNA, it's apparently very detailed and relatively cheap.

23andme for the general public

Ancestry for potential mythological beings - that feature will be available soon

FTDNA for the best raw data but combining the 2 files and then uploading it to myheritage to get the tribes you're from.

MyHeritage for male Y dna and then uploading it to codegen.eu to get the exact Y dna without that bullshit calculator.
