As far as I'm aware, hair pigmentation is not dependant on one gene, but rather on a number of them, thus it's not as straight forward of a question as it might seem. Let's say there's a Dalofaelid man with light hair and an Alpinid woman with dark hair. They have children together and chances are rather big for the first generation of children to have to dark hair pigmentation. After how many generations is it safe to say it is more than likely that the children will be born light haired? Is there a predominance of inheritance from the mother or the father?

Dunno. :dunno: Why do you ask?! Dark hair looks great.... especially when it's natural and not dyed dark. :)
