Several crew members and actors in the Space Nazi sci-fi comedy Iron Sky (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4425) were celebrating their last day of shooting in Frankfurt, Germany, when four cops busted into the bar with dogs, beat everyone and severely injured two actors without a warning or an explanation.
Director Timo Vuorensola described the incident on his blog (http://blog.starwreck.com/2010/12/16/police-brutality-in-frankfurt/), but removed these injury photos for legal reasons.

The police attacked the bar, dragged some of our crew members out, beat the shit out of them and then left without an explanation.
As for the “troopers” that were attacked (no word from the director on whether or not the actors were in costume):
…They grabbed our team members very damn brutally, and manhandled them out on the street, smashing the Australian guy face first into the concrete. Then they handcuffed him, and started kicking him while he was on the ground. The other guy – a Finn – tried to stop them and find out what was going on, but he was put down on this knees, and when he tried to get up, the last thing he remembers is a police coming at him fast, before he woke up in an ambulance with a headwound… After the police had more or less kicked everyone’s arse, they told the guys to go to the ambulance that had appeared in the scene… So, they charged in, beat the shit out of our guys and left. No charges, no reasons, no explanation. Just random act of violence.
Well, the show goes on. The Iron Sky team is passing “the unfortunate mess to the legal system (http://blog.starwreck.com/2010/12/17/the-police-incident-letting-loose-the-lawyers/),” taking off for a winter break and will resume shooting in Australia. Hopefully, there’ll be some answers by then.
