It's an artificial country in my opinion because South Sudanese can't establish a strong national identity.

My friend is ethnic Dinka. Once I sent him an email saying, "Wow! South Sudan is getting its independence. You must be so excited!" I got no response to this, so I figure maybe the situation is more complicated.

Arab Muslim Sudanese government(led by a black man of course) wanted to kill them for being black and not Muslim.
