You look like Magnus Carlsen; one of greatest rising chess players:

You look like you have partial Iberian ancestry; berid + atlantid. Perhaps some Native ancestry as well?

Didn't see your answer.

I can classify Middle Easterners and North Africans correctly.
I have trouble classifying Europeans.

I would have placed you in Morocco or Algeria.

From an anthropological/genetic point of view, East Mediterranean means Levant, Cyprus, and all of the islands (Crete, Sicily, Malta, etc).

i've been guessed alot berid .. i think it's logical .. and alpine too mostly med-alpine some berid influence... but native american seems impossible considering the fact im north african :)

Much of Greece is genetically/anthropologically Balkan, or influenced by them. If you mean "southeast European" then yes -- central/south Italy, Greece, Albania, Cyprus, etc but I meant phenotypes.

Pretty sure greece is known for it's mediterranean influnce .... because it's geographically and politically and ethnically and economically included as southern european .. and many greece have pretty much very high mediterranean influnce since old civilization

They are but I mean from a genetic and phenotypical point of view they share a lot with other Balkan nations. There is a genetic cluster of southern Italians, Jews, and the Aegean islands, but the mainland Greece is not part of this.

i think im gonna differ in this because as i know balkan are mostly southern slav but i don't deny that greece are influenced by balkan and verse/versa because they are geographically close and that's good point because somehow the location of group of people control their phenotype
there even are some sources that consider greece as middle east countries ..... because of tradition and culture and music

Well all Balkan nations have some kind of Near Eastern cultural influence.. Albania and Bosnia more than Greece.

But I am speaking from genetics and phenotype... there is a cluster comprised of Cyprus, Jews, Sicily, and other islands (including Greek islands) and mainland Greece is not part of that group. That was my point.

i agree , but from my experience i see alot of mainland greek look more middle eastern than balkans

The reason for this is because a portion of modern Greeks living in the big cities like Athens and Thessaloniki are descended from Pontic and Anatolian Greeks -- these are Greek-speaking Christians who were exiled from modern Turkey to Greece over the last millennia, and their ancestry is indigenous to Anatolia and the Caucasus.

then how do you explain that ancient greek statues all of them have Mediterranean phonotypr (curly hair , the nose , skull shape)

There is a difference between Mediterranean in a typical Southern European sense, and Middle Eastern. Pontic Greeks are Middle Eastern people (Greek-speaking natives of the southern Caucasus/eastern Anatolia), ancient Greeks and most modern ones are simply Mediterranean Europeans. Though there is some Slavic influence in Greece also and it influences their genes and some phenotypes.

Some people think modern Sicilians are a good proxy for ancient Greeks, but I don't think so. There are other influences there too (Italic, Berber/North African, Levantine, etc).
