German surname, born in North Dakota where there are lots of Germans. Many of the Germans in the Dakota are German-Russians, meaning their families settled in Russia in the early nineteenth century before immigrating to America, they are not German-Russian hybrids.

Faelids and faelid influenced individuals. Strong jaw is important feature among them. Nordoid tendencies in North and Northwest Germany as well as Northeast mixed with Eastern European elements (not very German). In Bavaria some Dinaroid tendencies. Western Alpines and Atlantids is German. Frequent Baltid and Eastern Alpinid influenced individuals encountered more often the farther East you go.
